Denton’s Economic Development Investment Program

As part of our structural model, the office of economic development in the Denton Chamber of Commerce is funded in part by the City of Denton and by private investors.

The Economic Development Investment Program consists of individuals and businesses committed to the economic development of Denton. Their commitment consists of financial investment in outreach and promotion activities to Denton’s internal and external markets.  The establishment of the private investor program has truly been the catalyst in our ability to market and promote Denton and to compete with other cities on projects. 

As an investor, some of the benefits include: receiving a monthly briefing report with project updates and an activity report of staffs activities that month; free copies of economic development publications and marketing materials; invitation to quarterly investor receptions; invitation to the mayor and city council quarterly breakfasts; and participation in an annual Roundtable networking luncheon with city staff.  These are just a few of the benefits. The level of benefits received is dependent on the membership level of the investor. 

Every community consists of a group of people that are the fiber that holds the community together in its traditions, hopes and dreams, and carries it forward as the community grows and reaches for its unlimited potential. Our economic development investors are that fiber and they take my breath away as I have the privilege to work side-by-side with them.
