Updated Economic and Demographic Projections Report

In 2008, the Denton Economic Development Partnership contracted with UNT’s Center for Economic Development Research to establish an annual economic and demographic report based on current projects, raw data, and future projects. The report was originally intended to be updated on an annual basis as marked growth takes place in Denton.  However, with the economic downturn that followed after the release of the first report, the project was delayed due to projects being put on hold.  I am pleased to announce that the newest version of the economic and demographic projections report is complete and on our website. 

Included in the report is information on the current state of the economy, updated demographic and population projections based on the American Community Survey conducted by the US Bureau of Census, updated industry profiles, and project updates.  I’m proud to say that through the tough economic times, we’ve been able to have some significant developments happen in Denton.
