Downtown Task Force
The Downtown Task Force is a subcommittee of the Economic Development Partnership Board. It is made up of a group of citizens whose primary task is to see that the Downtown Master Plan is implemented. They meet on the second Wednesday of the month at 9 a.m. in the City Council Work Session Room, at 215 E. McKinney.
Issues that they have recently reviewed and recommended for implementation are establishing a Tax Increment Finance Zone and a reimbursement grant program that would offer financial incentives for new construction and adaptive reuse projects.
