Date TBD: Spring Open House

Put a spring in your step this weekend while shopping, snacking and strolling in historic Downtown Denton during the Spring Open House event. More than fifteen downtown merchants invite visitors to stop by, enjoy some treats and see what's new downtown.

May & June: Thursday Twilight Tunes Concert Series

Local musicians perform every Thursday evening from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the lawn of the Historic Denton County Courthouse on the Square in downtown Denton. (Rain Location TBA) FREE

May Through October: Acoustic Lawn Jam

An open acoustic jam session for all levels of musicians. Come to listen or bring your fiddle, spoons or your best singing voice to join in the fun. Every Saturday morning, weather permitting, Courthouse lawn on the Hickory Street side of the Square. 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. FREE

June - September: Denton County Farmers Market

Local farmers sell fresh, seasonal vegetables and fruits every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday 7 a.m. to 12 noon, or sell-out, in the Bayless-Selby House Museum parking lot at the corner of Mulberry Street and Carroll Boulevard in downtown Denton.

1st Saturday in June : Dog Days of Summer Celebration

Take your best friend out for a day of pooch-filled fun - "Glam-Fur" shots of your furry friend, paw readers, dog parade, stupid pet tricks, live entertainment, and more than 80 vendors. Winner of the Texas Downtown Association Promotion of the Year. 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the historic Denton County Courthouse lawn in downtown Denton. FREE

Dog Days of Summer Celebration

Second Saturday in September: Arts, Antiques & Autos Extravaganza

Arts, Antiques & Autos ExtravaganzaJuried art booths, Attic Treasure Appraisals, Classic Car Show, special Kid Zone and festival foods make this event fun for the entire family. Find that special object d'art, have a family heirloom appraised, enjoy strolling entertainment or check out the dream machines lining the historic downtown square. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. around the historic Denton County Courthouse on the Square in downtown Denton. FREE
