Denton Main Street Earns National Accreditation from Main Street America

Denton Main Street has been awarded Accredited status by Main Street America, the organization’s highest recognition. The City of Denton Office of Economic Development manages the Main Street Program Certification in collaboration with the Denton Main Street Association 501c6. This honor places Denton among the top downtown programs in the country, with only 872 of the nation’s 1,172 designated Main Street programs reaching this level of achievement.
Accreditation is awarded to programs that show a strong commitment to downtown revitalization. Recipients must demonstrate excellence in leadership, diversified funding, strategic programming, preservation-based economic development, and measurable community impact.
